How and Why It Works

The Conscious Mind

The conscious mind is formed after we are born, it is taught to use reason and logic.  As we develop in our childhood, we form our perceptions of the world according to what we are taught and trained.  Our parents, society and culture greatly influence the process of the formation of the ego. Early on we learn what is good or bad, right and wrong, in other words the ego mind takes form according to what it is experiencing and constantly making value judgments.  As we form our identities and develop critical thinking and accept and reject what fits into our belief system, and discard the rest, we experience life through the lense of the egoic mind and form the negative ego, which drive our very personal world.  Our conscious mind is not active 24/7, it has its peak hours of operation and activity driven by stimuli.  When we go to sleep the conscious mind is less active as all outside stimulus stops.

The Subconscious Mind

The subconscious mind is known to be that part of mind that we are mainly unfamiliar with, but it is always present and aware of everything that is going on at all times in our experience as consciousness.  This part of our mind is also known as the seat of the soul or the seat of consciousness.   It knows no limitations of space, time, and perception and is like the hard drive of a computer directing our brain, and autonomic processes that you don't have to think about. It is the main guidance system of our body, emotions, imagination and subconscious belief system. The unconscious mind handles about two million bits of sensory information every single second. It has the ability to access all memories that are inaccessible to our conscious mind.  The subconscious mind is not ruled by time or space or perception of reality.  It is thought to have access to infinite intelligence, all knowledge, memories of past, future and present realities, as it is part of consciousness itself.

Since the subconscious mind does not judge or analyze information and does not differentiate between positive or negative, it accepts and receives all information coming from the conscious mind, even if it incorrect. The conscious mind on the other is the gatekeeper that analysis and rationalizes linear reality according to ones acquired beliefs and perceptions of physical reality. These two parts of our mind are not mutually exclusive; they have to work in tandem in order for us to operate in a cooperative and balanced manner. Understanding which part of your mind is communicating helps us, discern between; the conscious mind that only knows the limits of this physical reality or the subconscious mind that communicates through association, patterns, symbolic language and somatic signals.

Hypnotherapy helps in the process of feeding positive thoughts and influencing the subconscious mind to work with the conscious mind to make the changes in behavior and beliefs system. This dynamic drives our perception on experiences in our reality.  Hypnosis will work with the subconscious mind to resolve conflict between the conscious mind and subconscious mind created by the negative ego mind.  Through hypnotherapy the subconscious mind can override negative beliefs, traumas, and incorporate more beneficial and positive driven beliefs to aid in healing of the body and mind.

The hypnotherapist can work by optimizing positive thinking and belief systems to affect change and influence the conscious mind to cooperate to make the desired changes.  It is similar to removing a computer virus from the hard drive that allows all programs to work optimally.  Our thoughts determine how we feel and how we perceive our experience in life.  The better we feel, the better we can deal with stress, illness, daily challenges and help our brain produce new neuro-pathways that increase our sense of well being and a positive state of mind.

Spiritual Hypnotherpay

Spiritual Hypnotherapy is an approach that does not require you to have a certain spiritual practice, a religion, and a personal belief in the existence of an immortal soul. However, it does require willingness and an open mind to explore the possibility that within each of us lays a higher wisdom and inner guidance that can guide us throughout our life. At the heart of this method is the understanding that we are connected to a higher consciousness or awareness far greater than our individual self.

In these sessions Leti utilizes, guided imagery, deep relaxation techniques, and breath work in order to induce a deep trance state. In addition to working directly with your subconscious mind and with pre-determined suggestions and goals, we can use the inner resources of your subconscious, universal higher mind to access divine wisdom and guidance.
With this approach the sessions explore certain tenets, which are:

  • The existence of the mind, body and soul connection and how it affects our daily living.

  • We are energetic beings and the universe is made up of energy and everything has frequency and vibration. We attract the experiences and people that match your vibrational output.

  • A higher self or a spiritual consciousness or awareness exists beyond your mind and body. We have a deeper connection to a source of infinite love.

  • The higher self or a spiritual consciousness or awareness guides you throughout your life experiences. We have guides and guardian angels assisting us on our journey.

  • You create our own reality through your thoughts, words and actions attracting what you focus on. We design our experience in this incarnation, to learn, evolve into unconditional love.

  • The past, present and future are happening at the same time. Parallel Realities are happening right now.

  • The existence of the Akashic Records in which all thoughts and actions are recorded here for all eternity. The infinite intelligence of the universe is available to; the subconscious mind is your access gateway to finding any answer we seek.
